Whilst 2014 was a fruitful year with new opportunities to be taken, it was also a year full of challenges, the most recent throw back being the hacking of the old MUGMUG page which resulted in this relaunch. Having to start anew from scratch meant having to rethink strategies, intentions and angles. Which we believe was a great thing. So welcome back MUGMUG, 2015 will be your year.

Lebensfreude Records is Berlin's most euphoric "Techno" label. No wonder, since Lebensfreude means "zest for life".

This is expressed in a playful and pleasure hunting approach towards making electronic music. Therefore, dead serious standard formulas of "Berlin" Techno and House are forbidden - seriously. Consequently Lebensfreude has created a uniquely twisted sound with a new understanding of deep, between dark, a dadaist lust for experiment, and a deep delight in new sonorities on the dancefloor - and beyond. Lebensfreude takes Berlin electronic music on a journey.

Speaking of which, since Lebensfreude is more than "just" music, the label has become a platform for other zestful activities, particularly for more epicurean inspired forms of musician journeys. Instead of a manager like hopping from gig to gig and airport to airport (which somehow all look the same) Lebensfreude is engaging in a sustainable, respectful, and joyful way of presenting its music to the world. Thereby creating lasting relation- and friendships that in return result in global release projects with Asian or South American labels with an alike spirit.

Last but not least, Lebensfreude is a network of life enthusiasts, music perverts, and crazy ones who will always search to transform electronic music for the better.

BLUE SUNDAY is: the sexy electronic love* child of Jim Morrison and New Order born into a post-ecstasy love* shack full of trash and vanguardist (street) art.

This beautiful and unique event row, a sunny and intimate house-affair set in a blue, three-storey house from the early 20th century situated in the heart of Buenos Aires Techno Trash City´s derelict antique quarter San Telmo, was summoned up by the makers of Trashmission, Trash Republique and Scandale to create a relaxed braindance party for those who can and want to go out and flow on a Sunday afternoon, dancing, browsing, connecting and getting (down) together in peace and harmony.

Open to babies, kids as well as their discerned parents, the musical emphasis lies on versatile and experimental music as well as showcasing female artistic talent as well as unearthing unsung heroes, an underlying concept that goes without mentioning and sums up our entire copyleft philosophy.

Gathering all the different artistic disciplines such as street art, electronic music, vanguard couture, performance and food, mixing them together magically, always with love and respect, BLUE SUNDAY takes place every week from 16 to 24 hours since early 2013.

Fresh and rested people collide with strung-out party veterans, unhipsters and superhip hipsters all happily bop and bounce around an empty pool with a delicious cocktail in their hands, united by the blissed out beats. DJ always have their space and musicalize the dance floor whilst the street artists paint the gigantic wall of the terrace (photo). Perfect to start the week with a good party!

Art, VJing, live painting, assemblage, collage, recycling, performances: all these elements are playing an important role to visually and conceptually interact with our crowd. Our party people are part of our family, they come and get involved, first as dancers and audience, then as artists and members, as we are always open to hear new proposals. The decoration is made by objet trouves gathered by our crew and always put together in new constellations, creating a trashy world full of surprises and details.

We have had the honor to receive a great number of incredible DJs from Argentina and all over the world. Our policy is to love and invite all those veterans, emerging talents, fresh faces and aging star DJs who somehow fascinate us with their sounds and treat them with the same respect, receiving them with open arms and good vibes on the floor.

National DJs: Diego Cid, Daniel Nijensohn, Proyecto House, Cristobal Paz, Simbad, Sr Replicante, Magoo, Ana Helder, DJ Karen, Juan Pryor, Nicolas Romero, May Segui and Muveo.

International DJs: Splatter (Frucht Records Mexico/Berlin), Axelle Roch (Fox Parisien Crew/ Batofar Paris), Barbara Wild (House U/Uruguay), Camilo Gil (Chile), Baron (Brazil), Loic Serum (Paris).

Painters included Animalitoland, Mariano Nerd, Elebea (Cordoba), Dotz (Mendoza), Blabla Buto, NGOK (Francia),

BLUE SUNDAY is the intense result of the creative marriage of four DJs and VJs also working as event organizers, artists, designers, journalists and video editors. Getting together in 2009 for the first time, Cosmikat aka Lou Bernier (originally from Paris) and Kat Kat Tat Richter (a stray Berliner kat) started organizing Trashmission, a very successful underground event saga which spawned off countless other artistic events with "trashy" elements in them. Often inspired by but never bettered, the Trash gang went into its next evolutionary state when teaming up with May Mc Laren, an icon DJ from Buenos Aires, who set up a weekly event called Republique. Fusing both events into one and unleashing the beast under the moniker Trash Republique, the three girls took Buenos Aires´infamous Cocoliche club by storm. Kat also unearthed Buenos Aires first independent street art event called Street Arte BA (which now receives governmental funding to produce large scale painting sessions). When Trash Republique´s life cycle at Cocoliche came to an end, some of the creative forces were reborn as Scandale, a chic party thought up with Dan Chelger, who is the latest addition to the polymorphous Trash Republique team. As Up´n Ground, they dedicate themselves to produce new events in Baires and abroad (plans include touring Gerrmany and France in Summer 2013) while also continuing BLUE SUNDAY, their super beautiful Sunday session which will go into its second season in Nov 2013.

*Yes, that´s two times the world love in the opener, much more to come.

The founders and ambassadors of the Lebensfreude Records spirit, Gunne & Zuckermann are a magnetic and spontaneous DJ duo that combine to represent the more adventurous soul of Berlin electronic music. The pair originally began collaborating having met at the infamous Tresor club in Berlin; they inspired each other with their musical ideals which shortly turned into an impromptu tour of South America. During an electrifying performance in a Buenos Aires club, the duo was moved by the crowdʼs reaction to their unorthodox style. This moment sparked the beginning of a truly Lebensfreude - “lust for life” - series of performances. Ever since, they strive to take that mantra beyond Berlin and offer it to the world. To put it simply, Lebensfreude Records represents a lust for life - an attitude and mantra that embodies the city of Berlin. Coincidentally, another translation for the German expression “Lebensfreude” is the colloquial American term of “groove”. Whilst the label admiringly represents quality electronic music in its purest form, it goes far beyond the usual house & techno sound that is so commonly associated with the Berlin scene. Creating their own unique and twisted sound with a new understanding of deep, dark, a Dadaist lust for experiment, the label aims to send the listener through a delight in new sonorities on the dancefloor and beyond.

For lovers of electronic dance music, Delhia de France might be no unknown. Coming out of the musical surroundings of Jena's finest Freude Am Tanzen records, she created quite a collaborative oeuvre over the past years having worked with artists such as Robag Wruhme, Marlow, Gunne, Douglas Greed, and many more.

With her voice, as ever-changing and mercurial as the mooon she sings, whispers and scratched mainly as the grand diva of German electroband Pentatones, having already performed on various national and international stages from media art festivals, to clubs, and even orchestra concerts.

Eventually Delhia became more and more drawn to her own musical ideas, which led to her solo project. Electronic composition, husky beats and plenty of Delhia's haunting voice, that not only live gets chased through the sampler repeatedly backwards and fowards, fast and slow, loud and quietly, from one side of the room threetimes through the middle and back to the other corner. Live accompanied by harpist Julia Pritz, who's extraordinary instruments is gladly played classically but might as well get twisted electronically.

Call it "Techsoul".

From another planet straight to your heart!

Making Buenos Aires her home of choice in 2005, Kat, an ex-editor of the German electronic music publication Raveline, installed herself in the local Argentine scene as a DJ and event organizer as well as continuing her work as a writer and photographer in IDJ, Meoko, DJ Mag, and Electronic Beats, as well as working for labels such as Items & Things, Igloo rec, Lebensfreude, LoMidHigh, Tendenzen Freier Entfaltung, Airdrop, and events such as Snowbombing and ENTER. to name but a few.

After becoming creative director of Wicked Magazine, a bilingual magazine focussed on alternative cultural activities in Buenos Aires in 2008, conducting a radio show called Wicked Frequencies, and organising an artistic event row called Trashmission with her crew of Wicked artists and musicians whilst also DJing in countless events and clubs in Buenos Aires, Neuquen, Cordoba, Mendoza, Rosario, Puerto Madryn, Montevideo and Bogota and of course her native Germany, it was time to add something more to her universe: Returning to her artistic roots, she initiated a street art festival called Street Arte BA which unites over 170 street painters from over ten countries. Now in its forth year, SABA received a grant from the Argentine government and continues to grow internationally, with a string of festival workshops planned for the Summer season 2014.

Kat also continues to organize her own events, the Buenos Aires Trash Republique being the successful follow-up of Trashmission. From being an almost all exclusive female event, this party row has mutated into Blue Sunday, an advanced and arty Sunday daytime event in Buenos Aires which is now in its second season, as well as showing its mighty prowess as Blue Republique, held in special venues, thus returning to its underground roots. Since her relocation to Berlin in Autumn 2013, Kat has worked with Tresor, BPitch, Perspectives Festival, as well as setting up her own event row Post Acid Disco Zoo in the superb club Humboldthain (next one up 19.07.), and co-producing DIVAS in the Fiese Remise with her artist agency MUGMUG.ME. Returning to radio format, she trashmits live every Saturday at 22 hs CET on 8Bitz Radio to bridge the continents and to connect her two mental homes Berlin and Buenos Aires....
